Weetra Dot: Bared Footwear X Christinaray Weetra X Children’s Ground

Bared Footwear, a Melbourne-based footwear label dedicated to designing shoes with a difference, is proud to announce a collaboration with Indigenous contemporary artist, Christinaray Weetra.

A contemporary take on traditional Indigenous painting, this bold-coloured artwork features a fusion of warm and cool tones. The artist describes her piece as inspired by community: “I believe we are all connected, in people, land and sea, no matter how different we are. Each dot is unique and represents every one of us coming together.”

Once sold, Bared will match the final price and donate all proceeds to Children’s Ground, an organisation dedicated to empowering First Nations children and families.

“Our goal is that all our children and families have the same opportunities that every other child or person their age in Australia has. That they’re educated, well-grounded, and they feel like they belong and are connected to their country,” says Angee Ross of Children’s Ground.

The artwork features on Bared’s Noddy Weetra Dot sneaker, an iconic high-top style showcasing the artist’s bold-coloured artwork, offset by white leather panelling and soft pastel features. For every sneaker sold, $50 will be donated to Children’s Ground.

Join us on our journey to empower our First Nations peoples. Help us support this incredible cause, and donate what you can – every little bit counts.
