Who are we?

The High Street Armadale Business Association Inc. (HSABA) is an independent membership-based, not-for-profit, destination marketing incorporated association. We are an advocacy and marketing body that represents over 350 commercial properties and businesses in the iconic Melbourne suburb of Armadale.

The operations of the HSABA are run by HSABA officers and governed by a member-elected committee that volunteers it’s time to steer the direction of Australia’s most well-known lifestyle and fashion destination.

How is the HSABA funded?

The High Street Armadale Business Association (HSABA) is funded by a special marketing and business development levy on all properties in the precinct (cooperative marketing fund). These funds are used for marketing the precinct (events, website & social media, providing resources to businesses etc.). The funds are collected by the City of Stonnington and distributed twice yearly based on a comprehensive agreement outlining governance and reporting requirements.

Who determines how funds are spent?

The HSABA management committee determine how funds are spent. While the HSABA is independent of the City of Stonnington, the City of Stonnington oversee the activities of the HSABA and ensures that the distribution of funds is in line with the funding agreement.
